Moments between journeys

In many places, bicycles are part of everyday life. They move people through cities and villages, carrying groceries, tools, or nothing at all.
But every journey has its pauses.
A bicycle leaned against a wall, waiting beside a doorway, or standing quietly in the shade. Sometimes with a crate on the back, sometimes with a worn saddle. Small signs of daily use that hint at the life around it.
For a moment the bicycle is simply there. Not moving, not going anywhere. It becomes part of the place where it stands, almost blending into the doors, walls and streets that surround it.
These moments appear in many different corners of the world. Different streets, different light, different colours. Yet the scene repeats itself: a bicycle waiting for its rider to return.
